The final standings for the 2021 TNT Bracket Challenge Standings!
What a contest it was!!! It came down to the final game. There were so many lead changes and different scenarios possible throughout most of the bracket. So let's get to the awards.
First, the Teddy Berr Challenge! Teddy has a little extra fuzz now with his little brother Harry joining in the fun. The Spiekhout boys won the 2021 Teddy Berr Challenge with 38 total points! Way to go boys! It sure is fun having you guys in the TNT Challenge every year. Berr, you did great, too! Scored 32 points on a bracket completely picked on your own! We love the March Madness and the TNT Challenge and watching you pick the games was so cool! Nice job boys!
Rookie of the Year! Well this is probably an obvious choice, but this was competitive! We had 5 brand new TNT Bracketors join us this year, and each were near the top of the standings at some point through the tournament. So before we award the ROY, let's welcome the newbies! Truli Dru!! Oh, we are so excited to meet you! You scored 24 points in the first round, which was tied for the second most! Bob Filipek! Thanks so much for playing! You also had a very good first round! Thanks again for joining! So good to have you!! Kesh! Good to have you, too! You were hanging there for awhile, but that Illinois loss was a tough one. Nice job! David Myers! Way to go! The Illinois loss got you, too, unfortunately. You were really looking great there for awhile. And the final two rookies...Becca Bodenberg! Very good job! That Gonzaga loss in the title kept you from winning any money, but what a bracket! Way to go!! Our TNT Rookie of the Year is Hannah Tokarz! Unbelievable! First Round MVP: Eric McCartney! My goodness! 25 points in the first round was spectacular! That was a difficult first round, but you had it better than anyone! Very nice!
One Shining Moment (awarded to all who picked the correct champion): Grams, Gramps, Brien, Garrett, Hannah, Mills, and Ryan all picked the Baylor Bears to win it all. Fantastic Pick!
Beat SHAQ! We always have a celebrity in our challenge and this year basketball legend, Shaquille O'Neal joined the TNT fun. Thank you very much for entering the challenge Shaq! Your LSU Tigers looked tough all year, but just didn't have enough to get by that group at Michigan. Good things to come for LSU though! Thanks again, Shaq! Those of you that beat the NBA and College Hall of Famer: Trey, Tanner, Ryan, Pappy, Papa Joe and Nana, Nancy, Jolie, Mills, Mackie, Kim, Kesh, JJ, Hannah, Grams, Gramps, Garrett, Eric, David, Brien, Ben, Becca, and Adam. Very nice job guys!!
TNT BRACKET CHALLENGE MVP: One of our favorite awards here at TNT. This goes to the bracketor who picked the most correct games, regardless of points. The record is 48 picked by Neil in 2008. This was a three-way tie with 39 correct games! Adam, Hannah, and Eric. Very good job!!
