You have all been a part of our favorite time of year for many years now. You have read our emails and felt our passion since we were very young boys dreaming of playing in this tournament. You have played and watched and cheered. You have won and lost and hopefully loved every second just as we have. We went 20 solid years of the TNT challenge and never imagined we would ever have to do without. Maybe some of you enjoyed the space and peacefulness of no ALL CAPS emails from us, but for us, it was a crushing blow.
2020 was a strange and tough year for probably each and every one of us. Jobs, restaurants, concerts, sporting events etc. were put on hold and created many voids in each of our lives. Here at the TNT Headquarters it was no different, and honestly, it hit us pretty hard. So this is not another TNT write-up of a coach or a final four team. This is a letter. It is a letter to each of you who fill out a bracket or two every single year. It may have always seemed like an annoyance or maybe it's a passion of yours as well, but I bet many of you overlooked the value of your bracket.
The void in us was not just about our love for basketball or our love for brackets. What hit us so hard, was the absence of this growing group of family and friends all joining together in a fun contest. We really do love you guys and your participation in our challenge. A year without you felt like decades. So remember the value of your bracket! While we may be a little loony, we really would miss each and every one of you.
Thankfully, WE'RE BACK! And we were so excited for this season. We were afraid that a year off may lead to a drop-off in participation, but you all came back and we even grew a bit! So thank you very much, from the bottom of our 64-team bracket, sized hearts! Soon we will crown another TNT Champion and put another name on THE OLD BLASTING BOX. Thanks again everyone!
