TNT BRACKET CHALLENGE RULES

  1. Objective

    1. The objective of the TNT Bracket Challenge is to accumulate the most points by correctly selecting the “winning pick” for each of the 63 games in the tournament.

  2. Making Selections

    1. You may enter your selections in a variety of ways. Submit your bracket selections to a TNT administrator.

  3. Scoring

    1. Points

      1. Round 1: 1 point per pick

      2. Round 2: 2 points per pick

      3. Round 3: 3 points per pick

      4. Round 4: 4 points per pick

      5. Round 5: 6 points per pick

      6. Championship: 10 points per pick

    2. Canceled game or no selection

      1. In the event a tournament match does not occur as scheduled (e.g., due to cancellation) or a submitted bracket had no selection for a given match, no points will be awarded.

  4. Lock-time

    1. All picks will lock at the scheduled tip-off time of the tournament currently scheduled for 12pm ET on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Your picks for the matchups must be submitted by the scheduled lock-time. Selections submitted after the deadline are considered invalid.

  5. Ties

    1. Tiebreakers:

      1. Tiebreaker #1 - Total number of correctly picked games

      2. Tiebreaker #2 - Number of points in Championship Round

      3. Tiebreaker #3 - Number of points scored in Round 5

      4. Tiebreaker #4 - Number of points scored in Round 4

      5. Tiebreaker #5 - Number of points scored in Round 3

      6. Tiebreaker #6 - Number of points scored in Round 2

      7. Tiebreaker #7 - Number of points scored in Round 1

      8. Tiebreaker #8 - Number of points scored in Round 1 when picking lower seeded teams.

      9. Tiebreaker #9 - A game of H-O-R-S-E will be scheduled between tied contestants by a TNT administrator. The place and time will be given to the tied contestants by that administrator. The administrator will officiate the event. The tied contestants will be given a fifteen minute grace period from the time scheduled and must arrive at the location and be ready to play before that grace period has expired or they are disqualified.

  6. Entry fee

    1. Each bracket submitted has an entry fee of $10.

    2. The entry fees may be submitted in a variety of ways and must be submitted to a TNT administrator prior to the scheduled tip-off time currently set for 12pm ET, Thursday, March 17, 2022.

    3. 90% of all fees go to prize money and 10% of all fees go to trophy maintenance and shipping costs. If no maintenance or shipping was necessary, 100% of all fees will go to prize money. 75% would then go to the champion.

  7. Prizes

    1. Champion: Your name on the TNT Bracket Challenge traveling trophy, the “OLD BLASTING BOX” and 65% of pool money.

    2. Runner-up: 20% of pool money

    3. 3rd place: 5% of pool money

    4. Percentages will be rounded within reason for easy payouts
